Specialty: Hematology-Medical Oncology

John Haluschak, M.D. graduated from medicine at Loma Linda University in California. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Kettering Medical Center, then a Fellowship in Hematology & Oncology at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve. He joined Dayton Physicians, LLC in 1993.

Dr. Haluschak serves on the Physician Advisory Board at both Hospice of Dayton and Community Blood and Tissues Services. He is Vice President of Montgomery County Medical Society and a clinical Associate Professor Medicine at Wright State University. He is an active member of the Dayton Clinical Oncology Program, an organization that provides access to National Cancer Institute and cancer research treatments locally. Dr. Haluschak currently focuses on Genitourinary and Thoracic cancers, though previously has worked with many different types of malignancies.

Patients as well as their family needs, the challenges of cancer care, and constant advances are particular aspects of the specialty he finds rewarding. He appreciates addressing patient concerns and fears with information. Dr. Haluschak believes all patients should be treated as family adding he feels "honored to be their physician". Collaboration and camaraderie amongst physicians and staff at Dayton Physicians support Dr. Haluschak’s priorities and ensure that the patient will always come first.
